(CHB) – Our colleagues in Paperjam revealed on Wednesday that the negotiations between the City of Luxembourg, the Merchant Union and the Ministry of the Economy have resulted in a new derogation for the opening of shops The City on Sunday.

From 2 April until the beginning of November, in the upper town and the Gare district, shopkeepers will be able to open their shop on Sundays until 7 pm.

The Secretary of State for Economy, Francine Closener, explains that it is a question of convincing a maximum of traders, where previous attempts had made a flop.
